Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering (RME) is hiring for a Regional Maintenance Manager!

To that end, Amazon is seeking a disruptive and groundbreaking thinker to provide strategic and tactical leadership over maintenance, repair and vendor management operations to support the Delivery Station - Amazon Logistics (AMZL) business across the Mexican market.

Join us in the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team. We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

Key job responsibilities

The Regional Maintenance Manager will manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously as well as influence, negotiate and develop relationships at all levels of the organization. Additionally, they must be a highly skilled vendor management professional.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supplier relationship management
  • Manage operational relationships with third parties, delivery station support teams and internal operations business partners
  • Identify opportunities to improve costs and efficiencies with our vendors
  • Provide input and execute standard operational procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to indirectly influence external service providers to successful outcomes
  • Committed to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others and execute positive change
  • Demonstrated ability to dive deep using root cause analysis to eliminate maintenance problems
  • Identify savings opportunities, better partnerships to leverage industry best practices, creating greater efficiencies through partnerships and technology innovations, etc.
  • Manage vendor relationships and establish yourself as a primary business contact for key suppliers
Travel 50%, based on business needs
  • 7+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • 5+ years of distribution or manufacturing field with equivalent mechanical or electrical field experience
  • 7+ years of facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, or hospitality management experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Fluent English and Spanish (C1)- Experience in design review process to incorporate electrical, mechanical, automation controls solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards
  • Experience in automated conveyors systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, blueprint and electrical schematic reading, CMMS programs, preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls , industrial electronics
