Responsibilities:
The Leader Fittings OPEX & DC’s Indirect Procurement Americas position is a key role within our strategic plan for the LIXIL Supply Chain. An enthusiastic self-starter with strong drive to improve existing processes and systems is highly desired.Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate/long term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills are a necessity. Develops and executes complex sourcing agreements containing unique terms and conditions with little or no management oversight.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for fittings OPEX and DC indirect spend categories (e.g., MRO, packaging, logistics, facilities, utilities, and services).
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations, demand management, and process optimization.
- Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
- Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance management to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Logistics, etc.).
- Resolve supplier disputes and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Optimize procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Implement best practices in procurement, including digital tools (eProcurement, ERP systems) and automation.
- Manage and track OPEX and DC indirect procurement budgets.
- Provide regular reports on cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs to senior leadership.
- Support financial forecasting and variance analysis related to procurement spend.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for indirect packaging materials (e.g., corrugated boxes, pallets, stretch film, void fill, tapes, labels) to optimize cost, quality, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with DC operations, logistics, and sustainability teams to identify eco-friendly packaging solutions that reduce waste and costs.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring on-time delivery, quality compliance, and cost competitiveness.
- Monitor market trends (e.g., material price fluctuations, supply chain disruptions) and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives through bulk purchasing, supplier consolidation, and alternative material sourcing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in administrative areas
- Extensive experiences in Contract Negotiation
- Travel: 80% of the time.
- Minimum of 5 years in a relevant procurement role with OPEX experience
- Experience of purchasing indirect and MRO items.
- Ideally have experience of purchasing for a multi-site, multi-national business.
- The following experiences are preferred, include process/project management experience, ability to manage multiple work assignment and ability influence and drive changes.
- Ability to appraise technical specifications from a commercial perspective.
- Experience with Ariba/S4Hanna (preferably)
- US Visa (Mandatory)
