Associate Specialist, Accounting

Overview:

The Associate will perform month end close steps associated with holding entities within the corporate business line.

Responsibilities:

This position will involve the following activities:

• Perform all related journal entries, financial flux, key judgments, internal controls, and management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for holding entities within the corporate business line.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to be reviewed by Supervisor.
• Identify and cultivate productive relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
• Prepare key ad-hoc reporting and analysis requested by senior leadership.
• Consistently improve process and functional performance through innovative approaches to challenges.
• Identify, solve, and/or escalate accounting issues to Supervisor, where applicable.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or related discipline.
• Recent college graduate or at least 1 year of experience in accounting
• Intermediate/Advanced level of English
• Follows through on commitments and demonstrates ownership of results.

• Applies concepts and guidelines; demonstrates healthy skepticism and effective problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of finance and accounting operations & internal accounting controls.

• CPA or equivalent, preferred.
• General ledger accounting strongly preferred. However, open to individuals that have AP, AR, or Payroll experience.
• SAP Experience a plus
