Are you excited to uncover what moves and motivates music fans and audio listeners? Do you see design and research as two hands shaping one experience? The Amazon Music Research & Beta team is looking for an early-career Experience Researcher who is passionate about human-centered design, eager to grow their craft, and thrives in creative collaboration with product designers, researchers, and marketing and industry teams.
As an Experience Researcher, you’ll be embedded in a multidisciplinary team working to craft thoughtful, seamless experiences across Amazon Music. You’ll learn to advocate for the customer with rigor and imagination, and help connect the voices of fans to the heart of the design process.
A day in the life- Partner with product designers and other researchers to plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research across multiple customer touch points.
- Assist in developing usability tests, surveys, and interview protocols that surface insights to inform product decisions.
- Participate in synthesis, co-design sessions, and research share-outs to ensure insights drive creative problem-solving.
- Collaborate with fellow Research & Beta team members to support smooth study execution and feedback collection at scale.
- Learn and apply Amazon’s mechanisms for working backwards from customer needs.

The UX Research team at Amazon Music is focused on helping teams build with deeper customer understanding. We work closely with design, product, and marketing to shape ideas, explore opportunities, and guide experience development through insight.
We partner across disciplines to run high-impact research, supported by strong operations and feedback systems. Our work informs both strategy and craft, ensuring customer perspective is present from early exploration through launch.We value clarity, curiosity, and momentum, bringing the voice of the customer into every decision.• 1+ years of UX research or equivalent experience (internships, academic, design research welcome).
- BA/BS or equivalent in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Design, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of common research methods (usability, interviews, surveys, basic analysis).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate research findings clearly through written reports, visual artifacts, and team presentations in collaborative settings.
- Proficient written and verbal English language skills• Exposure to streaming media, music tech, or creative tools.
- Experience with tools like Lookback, Alida, dscout (or similar remote research tools), Miro, or Figma (or similar remote collaboration tools).
- Passion for music, fan culture, or the creator economy.
