US Sr Accountant - Hybrid Guadalajara MX

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team through MezTal, supporting a U.S.-based client in the senior living and healthcare industry.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in U.S. GAAP, full-cycle accounting, and financial reporting, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to stakeholders.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Support audit processes, including preparation of schedules and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Finance.
• Handle multi-entity or multi-location accounting environments (preferred).
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior or advanced role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Advanced English (professional working proficiency).

• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or senior living industries.
• Exposure to multi-entity or consolidated financial environments.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Yardi, NetSuite, or similar).
• Experience supporting audits or working with external auditors.
